Children lean into the day’s lesson
Villagers have rallied together for the cause of their children and grandchildren. With great hope on the horizon for future generations, GHNI-Myanmar shares their latest experiences in the village.
“Thar Yar Kung is on the road to development. The primary school in the village has provided the entry way to the village where our Transformational Community Development (TCD) Trainers have been teaching English lessons as well as primary health care lessons. The education sector is key for the future generations of the village.
“Our TCD Trainers have formed a wonderful relationship with the ‘Grandmother’ of the village. She is a very well respected figure in the community. This lady shares how much she is appreciative of how we have helped in the children’s education and encourages our trainers to keep up the good work they have begun. This lady sees the importance and value of these village children being empowered through education.”
